Each year the School of Psychology invites application for a number of competitive undergraduate scholarships  from international students who wish to pursue undergraduate degree in Psychology. The scholarships are worth £2000 per applicant (to be deducted from tuition fees).

Scholarships will be awarded on a merit and/or hardship basis.  Interested candidates must hold a conditional or unconditional offer of admission to a full-time BSc (Hons) programme in psychology at UH which they have firmly accepted or which they intend to accept.

Other eligibility and conditions

  • Applicant must be self-financing and liable to pay tuition fees at the rate for overseas students
  • Applicant must not be sponsored by an employer
  • Applicant must not be sponsored by a government
  • Applicant must meet UH academic and English language entry requirements.
  • Applicants must fulfil their financial obligations to the University of Hertfordshire.

It is the responsibility of the applicant to apply for admission to University of Hertfordshire. If you do not apply for admission, you will not be considered for a scholarships. Please make sure to apply for admission to UH in good time.

Applicants should write to the School of Psychology stating that they wish to be considered for the scholarship and why they believe they should be selected for the scholarship.

Application letters should be supported by a recommendation letter from the course tutor of applicant’s most recent programme of study. The application should be received by the School of Psychology no later than 31 July 2007.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application in late August 2007. Please note that accepting UH as an insurance offer does not satisfy the conditions relating to this scholarships.

Provisional award date: 18 September 2007. Final award date: 31 December 2007.
