The School includes staff with a wide range of research interests in both the private and public sectors and across a number of specific industries particularly relevant to Scotland. The area include: “Tourisme, Hospitality and Events” , Consumer Research and Ethnic Enterprise Research
Research at QMU
Queen Margaret University awards two higher degrees by research, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Philosophy (MPhil). Research methods training is offered in the first semester but after that there are no taught elements as such - students are expected to manage their own research project, with guidance from a supervisor. Bursaries cover all tuition fees and provide help with living costs for three years (the prescribed period of study for a PhD).
Bursaries are only available for PhD study based at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.
