School of Health Sciences

The School of Health Sciences is a vibrant, mature, nationally and internationally recognised research community undertaking a portfolio of research related to health and health services, which concentrates on specific research niches in which we are considered to be leaders in the field.

Institute for International Health and Development

The Institute for International Health and Development (IIHD) is a multidisciplinary institute carrying out teaching at postgraduate level, research and consultancy. The focus of IIHD is to address issues of both institutional and social development in securing health gain in resource-poor settings. The context for such research ranges from supporting Ministries of Health to develop sector-wide working or decentralised management, to capacity building of NGOs to address issues of poverty and empowerment.
