Four years fixed term Postdoctoral research fellowships are available within the School of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Physical Sciences. The positions are available within an EPSRC funded project granted to Professor Adam Nelson, Dr Stuart Warriner and Dr Paul Ko Ferrigno (School of Chemistry and Astbury Centre and Leeds Institute of Molecular Medicine and Astbury Centre respectively).

The project will involve (a) the development and implementation of methodology for the synthesis of skeletally-diverse natural product-like macrocycles; and (b) the screening of the compound library prepared using a range of established cell-based assays.

The salary for this positions would be about £22,332 - £26,666 p.a. Interested candidates are expected to have, or be about to obtain, a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry and will have a strong interest in the application of synthetic chemistry in challenging interdisciplinary research.
