Postgraduate Research Positions in Advanced Surface Technology Research

Finland. 2 positions are available for postgraduate researcher at The Advanced Surface Technology Research Laboratory (ASTRaL), Lappeenranta University of Technology. The area of work will be in thin film deposition and the applications could be in electronic and electrochemical materials, magnetic films or biocompatible materials and may involve collaboration with local companies.

The applicants should preferably have a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a discipline related to the research area. Some experience in coating technologies or material characterization would be an advantage. Good skills in English are needed. The successful applicants will be expected to register for a Postgraduate degree.

The salary would be 1.700 - 2.500 e/month for fixed term appointments until the end of 2007. The contracts may be extended, depending on further funding.
