Germany. Call for application, Research Assistant/ Lab Manager within Department of Epigenetic, Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology. The department , headed by Thomas Jenuwein, is seeking a pro-active and experienced lab manager/research assistant to work in an international team that studies the molecular and cellular biology of mammalian chromatin. Approaches used include the characterization and quality control of histone antibodies, mammalian tissue culture and immunofluorescence, chromatin biochemistry and large-scale ChIP-chip arrays, and the generation and analysis (e.g. genotyping) of mutant mice (see website).

The candidate should be able to combine many technologies and work in a team. No routine regiments but independent contribution to several distinct projects. We are particularly looking for a research assistant with previous experience in antibody quality control using biochemistry (e.g. peptide blots) and immunofluorescence. The following organizational skills are very important: Data management, inventory of lab stocks and overall infrastructure of the lab.

Salary and social benefits will be in accordance with the regulations of the German TVoeD (salary agreement for public service employees).
