USA. 2 years postdoctoral position as a Junior Researcher (Ubiquitous Computing Specialist) at the Laboratory for Interactive Learning Technologies (LILT), Information and Computer Sciences Department, University of Hawaii at Manoa. Applicants must have at least a Masters (or equivalent degree) from an accredited college or university in computer science or closely related field.

Demonstrated ability to work with investigators and/or assistants from varied disciplines. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with hardware and create novel hardware prototypes.

Candidates with experience in working with Industry funded grants and/or in industry and research experience on ubiquitous applications, geographical information systems, human-computer interaction, and/or mobile/wearable applications are desirable.

Main Duties

  1. To help plan research and develop novel applications for ubiquitous wireless environments.
  2. To develop software prototypes in the fields of geographical information systems and ubiquitous, pervasive, mobile and wearable computing applications.
