Each summer a number of Summer Research Scholarships are offered by the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science. These scholarships are intended for currently enrolled undergraduate students in universities in Australia and New Zealand completing the third or fourth year of a full-time course leading to an honours degree. Outstanding second year students who are intending to complete an honours degree may also be considered.

The Scholarships provide return travel to Canberra, a tax-exempt stipend, and full board at a College associated with the ANU. Applications open 1 July each year, Applications close 31 August each year.

Application should include a covering letter, and a certified transcript academic record (unless the student is from ANU). Applicants must seek reference reports from appropriate referees. Referee reports are submitted separately by referees direct to the CECS Summer Research Scholarship Program stating clearly that the reference is in connection with an application for a summer research scholarship.
