The insititute is currently provide two one-year Pierre du Bois scholarships. The scholarship is for Latin-American students admitted to the International History and Politics Ph.D. programme (a renewal is possible according to thesis progress). The amount of scholarships is CHF 20,000.
The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies is a new Institute created from the Graduate Institute of International Studies (HEI) and the Graduate Institute of Development Studies (IUED)
Each year The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies provide some scholarships for Phd and Master students based on academic merit and financial needs.There are three kinds of scholarships: full scholarships, partial scholarships and tuition scholarships. Their duration is of one year with only one possible renewal.
Full scholarships: in principle amount to 18 000 CHF paid in ten instalments. Recipients are exempt from the Institute’s tuition fees but not from University of Geneva fees. Certain full grants are awarded under special conditions (duration and/or geographical origin).
Partial scholarships: may amount up to 18 000 CHF; recipients are not exempt from tuition fees.
Tuition scholarships: cover fees for one academic year and are intended for outstanding students.
