Tippie Scholars Scholarship is a scheme of awards offered by The University of Iowa to international students. Approximately 30 incoming first-year honors students who qualify for direct admission to the Tippie College of Business will be selected as Tippie Scholars.
The Tippie Scholars Program provides accelerated and individualized programs of study that will allow students to go beyond the basic requirements for the degree. An individualized plan might include accelerated eligibility for courses in your major, special honors seminars, conducting research with a faculty mentor, or participating in leadership workshops that include networking with College alumni and business leaders. The intimate program size and individual attention are some of the hallmarks of the program.

Students admitted to the Tippie College of Business through Direct Admission are eligible to apply to the Tippie Scholars Program. Admission to Tippie Scholars is highly competitive and based on high school record and an essay. Tippie Scholars must maintain a 3.33 GPA each semester to remain in the program.

The Admission Index is calculated by doubling the ACT composite score and then adding the class percentile rank. If the index cannot be calculated because the high school doesn’t rank students, a minimum ACT composite score of 27 (or equivalent SAT composite) and a minimum high school GPA of 3.70 are required.
